Today at 6 am my grandma passed away! She was 80 years old and lived quite a life! She was always so active in her church callings and loved to serve others! Her and my grandpa served 3 different missions! On her last mission is when she lossed her sight. She was given the option of ending their mission early, but she refused and dealt with those challenges of being without her sight so coragiously! Never once did you hear her complain. She could still cook up a storm with only a few challenges! I remember a few years ago my Andrew was in helping her cook one Sunday. She was making cooked carrots and went to put salt in and put just a tad too much in. Andrew watched her do it and hurry and grabbed the pot and rinsed them out so we would all still enjoy the carrots!

Her and Andrew had a very special relationship and always called her grandma. The first time he met her was after she lost her sight. I had taken him to my aunt Lauries house to meet them. When she went to meet them she got within inches of his face so she could meet him. Andrew just laughed about it!

She loved to play games and still could beat the pants off of you even without her sight. She would get quite mad if you didn't pay attention to your turn.

Just a few weeks ago I went up there to spend some time with. She asked if someone would put lotion on her legs. I quickly volunteered. My mom said that we got our nice legs from grandma. I told grandma thanks for giving me nice legs, she quietly said "You bet!"

I remember when we were younger we used to go up to Washington where they lived. We would stay there for about a week and swim everyday. Grandma would always get out there and swim with us. I think she taught everyone of us to swim. She tried to teach us how to dive but I could never get the hang of it.

My grandma had such a strong testimony of the gospel. She was very much an example to all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren! She will be very missed!

Middle school!

Drew is in middle school now! HOLY COW! I talked to his mom tonight and his first day was yesterday and he said he loved it! They have lockers, change classes and this is the best- you get to chew gum in class! Oh the joys of a 11 year old! I can't believe Drew is in middle school! The boy is growing so fast! He is as tall as me and is about 140 lbs! He is a big kid just like his dad! He is playing tackle football right now and was told that he has to drop a few pounds in order to play on defense. We don't want to hurt anyone! He was so good this last weekend about watching what he ate and even going on a walk to burn a few calories! In the words of my grandma- WHAT A FINE YOUNG MAN! I couldn't agree more!

New post!

In looking at other people's blogs and noticing ours with the caption "My DUI experience" I realized that I am not putting off a very good view of my family! We are not as white trash as you may think, sure we live with my parents, and yes I let my child run around in her diaper and probably many other things that would be considered white trash! So I thought I better post something new. So instead I tell you how I broke my bum! I know not much better! Monday I was getting into the back of the expidition to put in Brooklyn's carseat and as I was stepping out I missed where to put my foot and down I went with all my weight landing right on my bum! I managed to twist my ankle in the process! Drew says I even bounced a little when I landed! As I dragged myself over to the grass to cry the neighbor boy across the street heard my cries! So him and Drew dragged me into the house moaning and all. As the neighbor boy got me to the couch he as what hurt. All I could yell out was "MY BUM!" I think that was about the time when he left! Little to much info! Drew was so good to me! He sat and rubbed my back, got me some ice for my ankle and kept asking if there was anything else he could do. His mom called me a couple of days later and said that he had remember me in his prayer! What a good kid!
We figured the doctor would do an x-ray tell me my tail bone was broken, send me home with some meds and a huge doctor bill which we don't have the money to pay and that would be it! So we skipped the doc and surviving at home! Oh my poor bum! You don't realize muscles are connected to your bum. Or what you can feel when there when doing things for example sweeping! Anyways again I am thankful for wonderful parents who step up and fill in when I am down! Thank you thank you!

My DUI experience!

NO NO I didn't get a DUI but I got pulled over and they thought I was! So today I was on my way to go get Drew in Shelley. In the car with me was Jaxsen and Zander. Zander slept so peacefully all the way up and back! Oh but not his cousin! Jaxsen decided to scream his little chops off!! So after the hundredth time of putting his binkie back in his mouth (he was behind the passenger seat) and the wind blowing a 150 miles and hour apparently someone called into ISP reporting that I was driving erratically. I only crossed over the solid white line maybe twice and just for a second. So parked on the side of the road was me doing the drunk driver test! HOW HUMILIATING! They made me do the eye test and asked me the last time I drank (Oh about 7 years ago! My hellion days! POOR PARENTS) Well just so you know I passed and next time Jaxsen can scream till his chops come off!! Great times!

Freezing in August

So last Saturday we had Chubbuck days! It was a lot of fun and they had a great parade. On the other had it was freakin freezing! Ok not that bad but it was cold. Take a look at Zander. Usually you don't wear a beanie in August! But it was a good reason to get a pic! Aren't they cute together!

I had to post this pic! It is so freakin cute! My child will probably hate me on day but oh well! He will be 6 months on the 20th. Jaxsen is quite the mover now. He can turn himself all the way around in a circle, do his version of army crawling, roll back and forth and is grabbing at everything. He hates baby food or any form of it. I have to get a video of it because it is so funny!! He also growls at everyone! Love my little guy!

Brooklyn is 4!

My little girl turned 4! I can't believe it! How time has flown! We were at the tail end of our family reunion so we threw her a party at my grandparents house along with my dads birthday and my uncles. The 12th of July is a busy day! Brooklyn got a bike for her birthday and is still a little scared to ride it.

The next day we threw Brooklyn her first kids party! We had 6 kids show up. We asked them to all dress up in their favorite character. We had a character walk (like a cake walk) and then a pinata. Brooklyn's aunt Amy made her a Belle cake that was absolutly adorable. She had a great time and think the other kids did too!

That night we had a party with all the Lemmons. Brooklyn thought she was oh so cool that she was able to have three parties! She ended up with lots of loot and lots of great memories!

Reunion time!

On the 10th through the 12th of July we had the Denison reunion up in Jackson Hole. They had rented cabins for all of us. All of my grandpartents kids were there with the exception of the youngest Steve. Also all grandkids were there with the exception of the ones that were on missions. We had a great time catching up and seeing those that I haven't seen in forever. We figured there was 17 great grandchildren there all 5 and under. Drew was the oldest and the next one was 5. We had such a great time! Thanks Laurie for taking the time to plan all of this!

4th of July

The day started out by going to the parade which I forgot to bring my camera too. But thats ok- it was lame anyways! Then we came home put kids down for naps and probably took a few naps ourselves and then started getting ready for the night time festivities! And that is when it started to rain! And rain and rain!

We thought for sure the fireworks were going to be cancelled but it cleared up and we were able to enjoy the fireworks. My kids really enjoyed the fireworks!

Jaxsen went to the doctor on Monday for his four month check up. He is 17 lbs 5 oz and 26 in long. He is in the 90th percentile for his height and weight. He also had to get shots which have left him pretty ornery! Poor guy!

I need a backyard!

One thing I must have when we move is a backyard! My kids have absolutely loved playing in the backyard at my parents house. A lot of nights we have just sat out here and chatted and watch the kids play! I love it knowing that they are safe back here! So many afternoons I have looked out and saw Brooklyn and Baylee just a chatting away. Like Brooklyn totally understands what Baylee is saying!

Jaxsen found a football on the floor and did his best to get over to it. He was fascinated with it! He actually got it up on his belly like that! Future Highland football player here we come!

Buddies for Life!

We finally got our first pictures of Jaxsen and Zander together. Jaxsen is 4 months older the Zander but I hope they will be the best of friends! It is hilarious to see how much bigger Jaxsen is when they are put side to side.

Congrats Heather and Jerimiah!

My cousin Heather married her sweetheart, Jerimiah on June 18th in the Salt Lake Temple. We loaded all the fam and headed down to SLC for the wedding. The girls enjoyed running around temple grounds and had such cute dresses on thanks to Grandma Mortensen! They were so cute and Jaxsen is always quite the stud!

Finally someone having a baby other than ME!

My brother and his wife just had their little guy last Saturday- and BOY is he cute and oh so precious! Zander Michael Lemmon weighed 8lb 15oz and 21 1/2 inches long! Congrats Andrew and Kendra!

Life is boring right now!!

So I had a few people ask why no new posts? Well the answer is because nothing is going on! Life as we know it is boring! So I thought I would post a cute pic of my family and tell what the kids are up to.

Drew just started coming every other week for a week. I don't know how he feels about this because there is not much going on right now but never the less we love having him here. 

Brooklyn has gotten more and more independent. I just got her a new swimming suit and every day she wears it whether it is 50 degrees or 80 degrees. Which right now is 50 degrees! Isn't it summer!

Baylee just went in for her 18 month appointment. She is still my little tiny. 24 pounds and 31 inches tall. She is starting to say a few words such as mom, da, uh oh and a few others if you listen really carefully. She loves following her sister around and loves to get under her skin! It is hilarious. She is also figuring out how to throw a fit! YIKES!

Jaxsen is my little buddy! He already is a mamas boy. Which is Andrew thinks is funny, why is it that it is not cool to be a mama's boy but it is cool to be a daddy's girl. Not fair! Jaxsen is smiling away and cooing. He is also trying to roll over but he is a pretty big guy so that is a lot meat to roll over!

We are still at my parents house, I am so thankful that they are willing to allow us to live here and mess up their home. With Andrew working so much it has truly been a blessing!
